Love it when my students start having those “lightbulb” 💡moments with the content.
I’m currently running my live Habit Mastery Course (10 weeks- online)

Self talk is crucial to not talk yourself out of showing up.

This quote summarizes my mindset shift as to I want to move my body daily.
I exercise bc I want to actively invest in how I age. 💪🏼👵🏼
I remind myself that showing up *today* will totally effect my energy levels & health for next 70 years.
I’m establishing a lifestyle that will enable me to be a vibrant Grandma. Sometimes I’ll even imagine my 60 year-old-self chasing around future grandkids at the park. 🥹
In a culture that loves a quick fix; I’m slowly relearning how to value “the long game.”
My health is worth the effort;
my kids are worth the effort;
my grandkids are worth the effort.

I needed to laugh about it so I wouldn’t wallow in the grumpiness that is hanging over our house as a result of sleepy kids 🤣😴 🕦🕚🕐

Whether it’s you adopt helpful or unhelpful habits, they shape you over time.
Your spending habits,
Your thought habits,
Your morning habits,
Your Jesus habits
…you first chose your habits and then your habits choose the person you’re becoming.
Change your habits, change your course.

100% accurate 🤪 To counteract this; AFTER I finish a task, I sit with…
▫️how long it took -vs how long I “felt” it would take
▫️the effort it took -vs the effort I “felt” it would take
It helps to flag in my mind, how often I blow out of proportion a task vs the data I’ve slowly collected.
Taking a beat to “sit with it” helps me remember the next time- what I feel starting vs what I feel afterwards.
It’s collecting evidence for pep talks for my future self.

Part of me used to think it was selfish to squeeze a workout in because my kids wouldn’t get me for those minutes.
Now I consider it investing into the type of mom they’re going to get today.
I know it’s costs them some time without my full attention but the return on investment benefits us both the rest of the day.

Most people book a coaching appointment with me realizing the behaviors they want to “fix” but as we meet- realize those behaviors are tied to thought habits & beliefs that have been limiting their success.
Longevity with habits that stick for my clients is when we work on both simultaneously.
“Squishy emotional connectedness” is my favorite line 🤣
I’ll be forever a fan of your way with words, Carri.
⏩️ DM me if you have questions about coaching appointments with me. I’m happy to answer them 🙋🏻♀️

In a culture that is raised on quick fixes & overnight overhauls- this rubs 🫠
But the flip side of engaging in process, it’s a much more peaceful pace because it’s not the urgency of “I don’t want to miss it!”
Consistency compounds, but history takes time to accrue

Formation by repetition is a slow pace because it isn’t a goal you’re trying to hit- it’s the person you’re becoming and you have the rest of your life to become. 🌱
