I know I haven’t posted much in the past 2 weeks. In all honesty, I haven’t even done much art either. It’s been a stressful month for this funky creative.

But I will be set up at in Milton this Friday with all my stickers, prints, and canvases. Come out, support local artists and business. There’s food, live music, and OPEN MIC!!!

The event runs 4-9, and we vendors will be set up until 7! I hope to see you there!

My art is my peace.

Sometimes I go days without returning messages and calls. I don’t leave my house for fear of running into someone to whom I owe an explanation for my lack of contact. I feel like a failure, an imposter. I shouldn’t be playing artist, who am I kidding? I shouldn’t be playing grown-up, no one is fooled.

But on those days when I push through, and pick up my paint brush, I forget where I am and what’s stressing me out. I think through all my problems, and find better clarity. I get in the zone and I don’t want to leave. I try new methods and techniques, challenging myself to learn new ways to create. I surprise myself; I remember myself.

Discovering my art style feels a lot like discovering my purpose and role in life. If you’ve been here through all my mismatched art and actions, thank you for your patience. Stick around, if you will; I think I’m getting somewhere.
