(Fostered by: Victoria)THE PREEMIES ARE STILL DOING AMAZING!!!! Who says preemies can't survive? Look at us, we are 3 weeks going on 30. ;) They are starting to play and run around. Okay okay... Walk quickly.

Our rescue is non-profit and NEVER asks for donations. We operate out-of-pocket only. We work on a shoestring of various foster homes. We work hard on raising kittens, socializing, vetting them and finding them forever homes. Our main focus is to have the kittens adopted. We have very little time to spare.

Because this is new rescue with limited space, unfortunately we are NOT accepting anymore kittens at this time. Until more foster homes are approved to work with us via our foster application, we cannot accept anymore kittens.
If you need help finding a good rescue to take on your kittens, don't hesitate to ask! There's a bunch of great rescues located near you! If you are looking to adopt, please stay tuned! We have kittens that are growing, learning and almost ready for adoption!! If you're just here to see cute kittens grow, you're in luck too! We will be posting pictures of all of our kittens later today. It's photo day!

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Hi, I’m OZZIE and I'm 5 years old according to the shelter. I was surrender as a stray at Animal Care & Control SAN FRANCISCO. I’ve really been through the ringer and as they say ‘I’ve got the odds stacked against me here.” I came in pretty beat up, I’m blind in one eye. They've treated me at SF ACC and even gave me a dental. I’m really scared and just haven’t adjusted to being at SF ACC, so they are not going to be putting me up for adoption. On top of all that, I tested positive for FIV. Give Me Shelter has some information posted below from Best Friends and a study from Purdue University letting you know I can safely live with other cats and it’s really no big deal. I didn’t pass SF ACC’s medical standards and well let’s face it, I won’t pass behavior either since I’m scared. Give Me Shelter was given a heads up today that I will be offered to them, but my time is still short maybe 5 days at best. If Give Me Shelter doesn’t find placement for me quickly, my outcome will be up to SF ACC. Could you have mercy on me and give me a home?

If you can help OZZIE- adopt or foster – please contact Maria at [email protected].

Below is an article about the long-term (5-yr ending Feb. 2015) research project of Annette Litster, DVM Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine’s Department of Veterinary Clinical Science. She published results more than 1/2 way through the study here:
