I am an abstract experimental painter. With influence by the mid-century Abstract Expressionists I approach painting in a different way. Utilizing painting techniques from them as well as my own developed techniques, my work evolves through a series of paint applications and mediums, mostly applied with non-conventional tools. Canvas is usually hand sanded between paint application. Many times, compositional opportunities are revealed which in turn directs the painting to the next level. Till the final composition, the painting may undergo several layers of paint, glazing and acrylic mediums.
