Another one for the books.. bánh canh tôm cua 🦀🦐 (Vietnamese shrimp & crab udon). This was my “easy” 30-45 minutes recipe lol 😝

Lately I’ve been cooking out of sheer frustration that I can’t find anything as good as my mom’s cooking (and I don’t want to ask her to make it bc she ends up making a ton & we’d be so sick of it later 😂😂).

First time making bún riêu, mom says it’s 80% almost like hers. I’ll take it 😉
My version has no pork bc I do not eat pork, so I used organic chicken broth, dried shrimp & soup base , and for the meatball mixture I used grounded turkey (95% lean 15% fat). There is a secret ingredient in the meatball mixture that my mom shared with me but I can’t share it lol (I’m sworn to secrecy). Her secret ingredient makes the texture of the meatball and flavor of it like 10000 times better. 😉
