Thank goodness for the morning sun to warm me up as I went to work on the ice. Today it took 3hrs to essentially remake the Tandem Wellness ice rink at Chester Woods Park - Olmsted County, Eyota, MN
The hardest parts to tend to were the parts where folks step in and compacted the snow into the ice. It's not easy to recondition the rink, so please try not to compact the snow onto the ice. This will help with a faster removal process and keep the ice nice for others...
The snow mounds in the middle weren't meant for sliding down, but who are we to limit the fun. The down fall to it is that, the compact ruins the integrity of the ice around it.
Try to keep the ice for skating, as to keep it the gem to come across for others who come after...

I love that the rink got some press, but I want to clear something up.
I am not one of the groomers, caretakers or random person with a shovel and a hustle.
I am the visionary, creator and artist. I created the Tandem Wellness rink in the spot the spot that it resides after meditating on it's location. Those who "stumble" onto this rink would not be able to do so without my role.
No one has added on to the ice rink. They have, however, shoveled what was already created.
I love that the community is embracing this site but they also need to know Phirum Pheak is a visionary, creator and artist of the site and not one of the groomers. My process is far from mindlessly removing snow...
This hurts my soul...
