Every time I see a “come pack with me” reel where someone throws their suitcase on their bed and starts loading it up, I truly can’t believe they do that.
That suitcase has been:
🤢 On airport bathroom floors
🤢 In taxi trunks with who knows what else
🤢 Under train seats
🤢 In hotel lobbies where 5,000 other bags have sat
🤢 Rolled through international sidewalks
🤢 Slid across the plane cargo hold
And now it’s on the bed you sleep in? WHERE YOUR FACE GOES?
I pack on the floor, every time. Suitcases with wheels never come upstairs. After a trip, they go to the garage, then stored in the basement, and back up to the main floor when it’s time to pack again.
Real question though, is this actually how people pack? Or is it just for the video because it looks better?
Because I need to know if I’m a major germaphobe or if this is normal behavior.

After 21 countries with 3 kids, here’s what I know for sure: the difference between a smooth international trip and a chaotic one isn’t luck…it’s the two weeks of prep BEFORE you leave. 😅
