The last few months in my private practice have been all about studying new things related to trauma related disorders including Complex-PTSD and dissociative disorders.

When I’m not seeing clients, I’m reading the research or I’m in a consultation groups. I’m learning how adverse childhood experiences can prevent full integration of the personality and I’m gaining a deeper knowledge of how to use EMDR therapy to help heal and create more collaboration in their inner worlds.

It is hard work, and it also feels like the opportunity of a lifetime. I know that this is going to be my specialization moving forward and gaining that clarity is giving me focus on where to invest my time and training!
