Ruidoso Rising
We are a volunteer driven community initiative dedicating to restoring and revitalizing Ruidoso
Good morning Ruidoso communityπ We have had another request for help with setting up at Fort Stanton this Friday, July 10th, for the Fort Stanton days LIVE!! They need help setting up tables and chairs and other things. If anyone can go out and help for a couple of hours that would be wonderful.π―π―π― They would appreciate any help that they can get. Any time from 9:00am on. You don't have to stay out there all day, but if several people could go out at different times of day I'm sure that would help. I would definitely bring you some snacks, drinks and a lunch if you're going to be out there at lunch time. Let's please try and help how we can. I know it will be greatly appreciated. ππ
This is from a good of mine.....she really could use some help π Let's come together like we always do and help her out. July 11th(Saturday) from 9:30 - ???? 422 Paradise Canyon.
Hey friends and neighbors, I am reaching out to my amazing community for some urgent backup.
Between working two jobs and running side hustles to keep a roof over my family's head, Iβve hit a massive hurdle: my homeowners insurance is threatening to drop my coverage unless I get some immediate property maintenance done. Hiring pros isn't in the budget, and I simply can't do it alone.
"Many hands make light work," and I need your hands! Iβm hosting a work day to get my home back in compliance and keep my insurance safe.
βπ οΈ The Hit List:
βRaking & moving pine needles to the road
βCleaning gutters
βMoving a wood pile & installing mesh under the back porch
βHauling large trash to the dump (Lifesaver alert: Does anyone have a trailer we can use?)
β(Note: I have someone lined up for the tree trimming/removal!)
βπ§° What to bring (if you have them): Rakes, tarps, drills, outdoor screws, or just an able body!
βWhether you can stay for an hour or the whole morning, it would mean the world to my family. Thank you from the bottom of my grateful heart! β€οΈ
Hello Beautiful Ruidoso β€οΈ it's been a minute. Clean ups are still going on around the village and even more so now that the buyout program has been implemented. Those in harms way of the floods were given the option to have their property purchased then cleaned up and turned into green space. Hopefully it ends up being beneficial for all involved. πβ€οΈ Summer is upon us and we will most likely not do much cleaning up until after monsoon season starts and we are really needed. π Please do your part where you can to help our village stay looking good, and don't forget to see if you can help a friend, neighbor or an elder. π If anyone sees something that you feel we need to address don't hesitate to reach out!! Go out and enjoy the wonderful weather and all the fun events we have going on. ππ―π₯

Hello everyoneπ if any of you are planning on coming to help with the Fort Stanton cleanup on Saturday I need to know so that I can make sure there is enough food and drinks for everyone. π
π₯π₯π₯ Clean up at Fort Stanton π₯π₯π₯
Saturday April 25th 10:00 - 2:00
It's grounds cleanup work. We'll meet at the Fort Stanton Visitor Center at 10:00 on the 25th.
This is from Mike (The gentleman spearheading the cleanup):
Participants should wear work clothes, I'd suggest long sleeve shirts and long pants, sturdy hiking shoes or boots, bring work gloves, wear a hat, with boonie hats being the best kind.π
The work is to pull weeds and wash the few headstones.
If we have a large group of participants, we'll divide between the Post Cemetery and the Parade Ground. Parade Ground work will be cleaning up fallen tree branches.
Participants will watch a 10-minute video on the Fort history, then do the work. Water in bottles will be supplied. We'll be giving out thematic bandannas.
For the Ruidoso Rising group, there will be water and drinks and lunch will be provided. We will have good healthy sandwiches, chips and dessert. π If you prefer to bring your lunch, that's fine too. π If you all can let me know if you're coming to help that will help me know how much food to bring. βΊοΈ
We will have rakes, shovels and gloves in case we need them. If anyone wants to carpool or needs a ride please let me know ASAP. If riding with me, we will need to leave no later than 9:15. π
If you have any questions please reach out!! Looking forward to seeing everyone ππ―π
Thank you so much for those few that showed up today πππ―π₯ And thank you to Steven Gomez and Cornerstone Bakery for the amazing cookies πͺ πͺ πͺ ππ

TGIF π Tomorrow April 18th, we will be cleaning up on Gavalin Canyon from 9:00 a.m. till noon. We will be meeting in the parking lot below the old humane society building, which is now Gavalin Solid waste. It's going to be chilly first thing in the morning so be sure and bundle up π₯Άπ₯Ά. Please share this post as there is much work to be done and we could use as many volunteers as possible π―π₯πͺπͺ Thanks again to everyone for all your supportβ€οΈ
