YESTERDAY, 50,000 PEOPLE TOOK TO THE STREETS OF PUERTO RICO. THE GOVERNMENT CANNOT IGNORE THIS. NOW IT’S THE DIASPORA’S TURN. 👇

On March 28, an estimated 50,000 Puerto Ricans flooded San Juan — from El Escambrón to the Capitol to La Fortaleza. Children dressed as vejigantes. A sea of people carrying a giant Cabo Rojo flag. Chanting: “Esencia es violencia, aquí está la resistencia.”

50,000 people. On an island of 3 million. That is not a protest. That is a mandate.

Here’s what they were marching against: Foreign billionaires want to build a $2 billion private city on 1,549 cuerdas of Cabo Rojo’s Caribbean coast — 1,132 luxury homes, a private airport, luxury hotels — while the government hands them $498 million in tax credits ($413 out of every taxpayer’s pocket), exempts them from municipal taxes, and coached them on how to grab even more. No clawback clause. No accountability. Residents already go days without water. Property values are surging. Families are being pushed out before a single brick is laid.
