If you’ve noticed that website contact forms have suddenly stopped hitting your main inbox, you aren't alone. Even if your website is technically "perfect" and using secure SMTP authentication (like Google OAuth), Gmail and other providers have recently changed the way they filter your mail.

Why is this happening? Lately, email providers have updated their AI to be much more aggressive. Even a legitimate inquiry from your own website can get tucked away in the Promotions or Updates folders because:

The "Automated" Look: Modern filters flag emails with heavy HTML, logos, or "No-Reply" addresses as marketing material.

Low Engagement: If you receive notifications but don't "reply" to that specific sender address, the AI assumes it’s a low-priority notification rather than a personal conversation.

The Good News: You can fix this in about 30 seconds!

The Quick Fix:

Drag & Drop: Find a notification in your Promotions tab and drag it to "Primary."

Confirm: When Gmail asks if you want to do this for future messages, click YES.

Add to Contacts: Save your website’s sending email as a contact.
