Beware of Phishing Scams
Phishing is when attackers send malicious emails designed to trick people into falling for a scam. There are several tips that consumers can follow to avoid phishing scams, such as not responding to any type of solicitation that is unfamiliar or looks suspicious in any way. NEVER click on unsolicited videos or links; AND never give out personal information. If you think you know the sender, contact them to ensure they sent the email/request. This is a reminder to keep your IHSS ESP username and password private and protected. Do not share your username and password with anyone. Every time you share a username or password it increases the chances of it being misused or stolen.
State and County staff will never contact you and ask you for your ESP username or password. Taking the proper precautions can help protect your ESP account and the information it contains.

Keep yourself and your family covered. Local Medi-Cal offices review each member’s eligibility once a year or when they report changes to their household. Everyone’s renewal date is different.
