Listen up domestic workers, are you getting paid fairly?

If you’re paid monthly convert monthly pay to weekly then to hourly

Example you get paid $1,500 per month and work 35 hours per week

$1,500 x 12 = $18,000
$18,000 / 52 = $346.15
$346.15 / 35 =$9.89 an hour

This would be below California’s minimum wage of $16.50. Workers paid cash, salary, weekly, or monthly, might not realize they are being paid below minimum wage. Always track your hours. Don’t let anyone underpay you!
