Students Against Sexual Assault

SASA is thrilled to announce that on Wednesday, the CA Assembly Bill we have sponsored alongside UC Student Association (UCSA), AB 524, passed out of the Senate Committee on Education with a vote of 7-0. 🌟

AB 524 would require fraternities and sororities to submit publicly accessible annual reports that includes a variety of information about each chapter, including citations or disciplinary actions taken regarding misconduct at chapter houses or sanctioned events.

This bill would provide students with the necessary information to make educated decisions about where they go to socialize, which organizations to join, and who they choose to interact with. It would also provide institutions with accurate data surrounding misconduct that would assist in their efforts to combat the sexual assault epidemic on college campuses.
