🍦 Tuesday Tip: Make Treat Time a Learning Time
Summer treats create wonderful opportunities to build communication!
This week, use the sign for ICE CREAM while:
🍦 Ordering a cone
🍨 Enjoying a frozen treat
🏖️ Visiting the park
☀️ Spending time outdoors
The more babies experience a word while seeing and signing it, the more meaningful it becomes.
Little signs make everyday moments even sweeter. 💛

Small signs can make a big difference in everyday routines. 💙
Try adding just one sign this weekend during a routine you already do, like:
🍼 MILK during feeding
🍽️ EAT at mealtime
🛁 BATH during bath time
📚 BOOK at storytime
😴 SLEEP before bedtime
You don’t need to teach everything at once. Start simple, repeat often, and follow your baby’s interest.

**The Legacy of Dr. Linda Acredolo**
Today we begin a special series honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Linda Acredolo, co-founder of the Baby Signs® Program.
Linda’s pioneering work helped change the way families understand babies. Through her research, vision, and dedication, she helped show the world that babies have so much to say long before they can talk.
Her work has touched parents, children, instructors, early childhood educators, professionals, and communities around the world. Every time a baby is understood through a sign, every time a parent feels more connected, and every time a caregiver realizes how capable babies truly are, Linda’s legacy lives on.
We are deeply grateful for the extraordinary impact she made and honored to continue sharing the work she helped bring into the world.
We invite you to read more and share a memory or reflection on Linda’s tribute page:

This week's sign is BUG 🐞
Summer is the perfect time to explore the outdoors and discover all the tiny creatures around us! From ladybugs and butterflies to ants and beetles, bugs are everywhere.
Try using the sign for BUG during walks, park visits, gardening, or backyard adventures. When babies can see it, point to it, and sign it, learning becomes meaningful and fun. 💛
