Real Time Targets

As indicated from a couple of phone calls generated from yesterday post there is still some confusion out there as to how our system works. More specifically how our targets work. In short our “Huckleberry” Target works with impact sensors. The 7 inch octagon, target shooting surface is a 3/16 hardened steel surface, on the backside of this steel octagon are impact sensors. (Similar to the impact sensor in your automobile that set off the air bags) As the lead pellet from an air gun slams into this hardened steel shooting surface a shockwave travels through the steel and triggers the sensor and a computer circuit board receives the signal from the impact sensor and turns on the corresponding LED indicator light. This all happens more or less at the speed of light. As the inventor of this target it is all very simple to me but MANY TIMES in doing live demonstration we have had people call “bull sh*t” they cannot believe what they are seeing and think that we are somehow bushing a button under the table or some were to turn the lights on. It’s pretty funny but they are totally convinced. So I will ask them to sit down and take a shot, I ask them to place a shot in some direction a few inches from the bulls-eye and I will tell them which direction they missed. They will take a shot and obviously a light will instantly come on in the direction they missed. I have no way of knowing where they are going to hit the target. They shoot, I see the light come on and call the shot; high, low, left, right….. Like I said it’s pretty funny because about 80% of the time they walk away thinking they just saw a REALLY GOOD magic show. I love it because laughter is good for you.
