Stock Picking Contest: Week 1 Results

In our financial planning firm we typically recommend funds for client portfolios. Rarely do we use individual stocks and bonds, since we think funds will lead our clients to better long term outcomes. That said, it’s still pretty fun to play the ponies, so we’re having a stock picking contest over the month of October.

We’ll each pick three stocks. One we think will perform the best, one by throwing a marker at a list of each company in the Russell 3000, and a third by putting a golf ball onto the same list.
