[BLOOMINGTON] One of west Bloomington’s sea-of-parking-lots corners could be getting a major residential makeover.

Chase Real Estate is proposing a new two-phase apartment redevelopment next to Wells Fargo Plaza along Xerxes Avenue. Phase 1 would bring a six-story building with up to 275 apartments, structured parking wrapped by housing, rooftop amenities, and a large landscaped courtyard facing the street.

The proposal is another sign that the American Boulevard corridor is starting to evolve beyond office campuses and oversized parking fields. A future second phase would add another residential building near Southtown Drive.
