Calling all bookworms! Join Little Free Library as we celebrate Book Lovers Day on August 9. We're encouraging volunteers to share a book they love in a local Little Free Library, along with a note about why they love it.

A participant last year said, "Between travel, reorganizing books already in LFLs, talking with the community and adding my own books it took only a couple hours of my day and it was by far the best day of my week!"

"Many of the LFLs were not in what is classified as the Charlotte Book Desert, and it was obvious by the number of books stocked in each. As someone who lives in a book desert, it was a stark reminder of the importance of book access and the inequity that exists when it comes to resources like Little Free Libraries.
