This Fourth of July, we're taking a moment to reflect on the meaning of liberty, justice, and the responsibility we all share in shaping the future. Our founder Rachel shares her perspective:

We are not the first society to encounter tyranny, but we are facing the collective decision to either resist, or allow the ideals and virtues that generations of Americans fought and died for to disappear under the rule of a self-proclaimed king.

We have to ask ourselves if “liberty and justice for all” is merely rhetoric, or if it’s genuinely something we believe in, something we will fight to defend.

If we choose to resist in the streets or persist by making it through turbulent times of loss and hunger, then we will have the plants to help us.”
