HomeLab Founder Nate Bellino interviewed by Modernize.com on indoor air quality. Hope this helps raise awareness and brings us toward more effective solutions! https://modernize.com/home-ideas/31861/ask-an-expert-why-your-homes-air-quality-is-so-important
Ask an Expert: Why Your Home's Air Quality is So Important - Modernize We know about outdoor pollution, but what about the air in our homes? We talked with an indoor air quality expert, and here are his top tips.
We test our water, soil and food. But would your home's air quality pass? When you know what’s hiding in your air, you can take steps to start breathing a little easier.
A recent study confirms that wool excels at absorbing VOCs, and reviews ways to create VOC filters in the home. That old sweater you have may be cleaning your air!

A study was recently published showing a strong relationship between indoor and outdoor particulates when opening the windows to add ventilation, confirming that we let pollution in. It also reiterates that a "leaky" building can bring in particulates as well.
Thank you, Dr. Fuoco and team, for providing further evidence on why we should ventilate properly, seal and purify!

Indoor Air Quality in Naturally Ventilated Italian Classrooms

Indoor air quality was recently linked to our cognitive abilities through a study led by the Harvard School of Public Health. Higher cognitive scores were shown with increased ventilation and less carbon dioxide and VOCs.
A great line by the lead author of the study, Joseph Allen, went like this “We’ve been ignoring the 90%. We spend 90% of our time indoors yet indoor environmental quality and its impact on health… are often an afterthought.”
Our thoughts exactly Dr. Allen. Let's change that.
