My favorite part of creating patterns & tutorials is making the item as I double check the steps.
I always have fun when I am making a piece whether it is a new design or something I’ve made 100 times before.
But most important I love knowing I have all the steps right for the pattern so someone else can have fun making it too.
What's your favorite part of creating something with your own hands?
A common misconception…
You need a lot of specialized supplies to get started.
You don't.
I learned my first knots using leftover yarn, straight pins, an old comb, shower rings, and a homemade foam-core board.
The truth is you can learn the basics with things you probably already have around the house.
Don't let a lack of supplies stop you from trying something new.
What's the most creative substitute you've ever used for a tool or supply?
Change can be exciting...
and a little bittersweet at the same time.
For the past seven years, I've filled my studio with cord, supplies, and hundreds of finished macramé pieces. Every shelf holds a little piece of this journey.
As my husband and I prepare for full-time RV living, I've had to find a new way to keep doing what I love.
For me, that answer is patterns and tutorials.
They allow me to take everything I've learned with me, without needing to take an entire studio. 😊
This isn't the end of one chapter—it's the beginning of another, and I'm excited to have you along for the journey.
