Hingemate

We had a customer concerned about the door hinge security screws they purchased. We tell people that the trademarked Hingemate product we have been manufacturing since 1989 has been knocked off by a Chinese company. However our Hingemate product has been engineered for its purpose and is manufactured in the USA. Here is what the customer had to say.

"FYI, we mistakenly tried the Chinese knockoff first (didn't know at the time) and was refunded for defective item. Their threads appear to be 5.5Mx1.0mm (not 12-24 SAE, not standard metric, though a tap exists) for the machine thread section. Also, their threads are closed off at the bottom, so it has to be filed open to thread it into anything. Thought you might like to know how much they messed up your design when they copied it. Total fail for steel doors.
