New England’s Glacial Potholes Road Trip takes you to seven natural wonders shaped by Ice Age meltwater. In Vermont, Bolton Potholes has tiered pools perfect for summer swims, while Hamilton Falls hides a deep plunge pool beneath a 125-foot cascade. Bartlett Falls offers easy access and a curtain-like waterfall, and Texas Falls shows off a gorge filled with swirling potholes and short trails. In New Hampshire, The Basin is a granite bowl carved over 15,000 years ago, and Sculptured Rocks is a dramatic river gorge. Finish at Shelburne Falls in Massachusetts, where some of the nation’s largest potholes sit right downtown by the Bridge of Flowers.
