Carving out time to play without agenda or anything is often harder than you might think, at least lately. Reminder to do it when, where and however you can. It’s musical mental health. It’s necessary to keep doing all the other things. Anyone else feel like they’re constantly playing catch up?
That all said, I’ve got a few gigs coming up as ur friendly neighborhood guitar player coming up ~>
First tomorrow night (Thursday) sitting in with along with .lazy.daughter music from 6-9pm, free one, all ages, good times if around 🎼
Then heading on a quick west coast run up to Canada with opening for 🇨🇦

Nashville (part one). Boot scooting. Haven’t taken a proper break in 5yrs, nice getting a little breather in and lightly scouting out the scene in music city. Recording and otherwise.
Looking forward to doing it again soon, really love that city 🙏
In the meantime I’m back in California now and proceeding to get back into the flow of things, much as one can.

Another trip around the sun. Thank you all for the kind birthday wishes, truly meant a lot. While the idea of celebrating yourself once a year ain’t really ever been my thing (my own subjective preference of course), it was nice to try and unplug, move slow, hear from folks and find a little peace. Very grateful for that 💙
I’ve had a lot of “aha” moments this past year, small things that translate into a different perspective, gearshift + approach. Growth and grief being big themes.
Looking forward to sharing more little moments and more music with y’all sooner than later xoxo
