Cøntra (previously known as Contra Scandal) has always had a passion for creating and performing music. He started early, learning violin at age 4 and then going on to become an accomplished heavy metal guitarist in high school. He found his true calling attending his first rave in 2009 in San Francisco, and merged his previous talents into the world of bass music 🎻
His productions are top tier with releases on Deep Dark & Dangerous, Dank ‘N’ Dirty Dubz, Gravitas Recordings, Shadowtrix, Street Ritual and many more. This cutting-edge DJ set incorporates live violin, vocals, and endless ambition to alter our expectations of what is possible.
Very excited to share this artist with you all, making for TWO bass acts with violin including our founders Dissølv 🫶

We’ve all been very busy with so many events and shows, and as we are getting ready for the Burn we’d like to celebrate in our Santa Cruz home and start the magic early.
