Victory in Portland.

The City Council voted 7 to 5 to ban foie gras sales, and this is a major win for ducks, geese, and everyone who believes cruelty has no place on the menu.

Foie gras comes from force-feeding birds until their livers become diseased and enlarged. No appetizer is worth that suffering.

This vote proves compassion wins when people speak up, organize, and refuse to look away.
