Yesterday, Point Washington Medical Clinic joined free and charitable clinics from across Florida at the FAFCC Impact Summit in Orlando—a day focused on the fundraising and sustainability that keep barrier-free care alive.

We're proud that our Executive Director, Hillary Glenn, DNP, served as a panelist, sharing the vision behind PWMC's volunteer-driven, no-fee-for-service model.
That model works because of you: 280+ volunteers, 51,000+ hours, 20,000+ patients served since 2017.

Radically inclusive healthcare for the community, by the community.

🌟 Meet the people behind PWMC: Judy Brock

Some people don't just support a dream—they watch it rise and help make sure it stands. Judy Brock is one of those people.

A University of Mississippi grad, Judy spent 30+ years in insurance, rising to Vice President over the eastern U.S. Now retired, she serves her community widely—including as Secretary of the Board of Point Washington Medical Clinic. 💙

Her connection goes back to the very beginning. In her words: "I was so inspired by the dream of JDr. Hillary Glenn and Dr. Patsy Vargo to open a volunteer-driven medical clinic for those in need." She had a front-row seat as that dream grew into an independent, debt-free building serving the whole community.

Since 2017, it's grown into 280+ volunteers and 20,000+ patients served as a barrier-free, no-fee-for-service clinic.

As Judy says: "The Point Washington Medical Clinic does make a difference—to our patients, to our volunteers, to our community." 🌳

Thank you, Judy. 💙

💛 Today, we celebrate life.

This National Cancer Survivors Day, we honor the survivors among us—and a survivor is anyone living with a history of cancer, from the moment of diagnosis onward. The newly diagnosed, those in treatment, and those years out watching a grandchild grow.

You're probably picturing someone right now. You're not alone—about 18.6 million Americans are living as cancer survivors today.

Here's where a barrier-free clinic fits in: so much of survivorship begins with simply being able to get checked. Primary care is the front door where screenings happen, and things get caught early. As a no-fee-for-service, barrier-free clinic, we make sure that the door is open to everyone—because cost should never be the reason someone waits.

🎗️To every survivor in our community: we see your strength, and we celebrate you.

😊 Today is National Smile Day—and we have a few thousand reasons to celebrate it.

20,000+ patients served. 280+ volunteers. 51,000+ hours given. Every single one of those numbers started with someone walking through our doors—and most of them walked back out with a smile.

That's not a coincidence. That's the mission.

Here's the science: smiling can lower stress, boost mood, and even improve how those around you feel. It's contagious in the best possible way. And here's the mission: at PWMC, care is free of charge, free of judgment, and free of barriers—because everyone deserves a reason to smile.

So today, we're asking you to do three small things:
😊 Smile at a stranger
💚 Smile at someone you love
🩺 Smile because—together—we're building the kind of community where healthcare is for everyone
