“The Ruth Sembrano Clinic: Healing Tondo, Inspiring Communities”

From March to August 2025, the Ruth Sembrano Clinic in Tondo has provided 1,086 free medical consultations to families in Manila’s poorest community.

👶 60% of patients are children, ensuring healthier futures for Tondo’s next generation.
👥 65% female vs. 35% male patients, showing that care reaches across all ages and genders.
🌬️ Respiratory diseases remain the most common health issue, especially with the most recent Tondo fires, followed by stomach and skin conditions.

While the Ruth Sembrano Clinic is at the heart of this mission, RSF continues to support 3 other partner clinics in Bulacan, Naic, and Sibunga.

Business Trip to Dalaguete, Cebu (August 28–29, 2025)

Our Director of Philippine Operations, Marie Anton Sembrano, together with Education Technology Consultant, Lotty Barcenilla, visited Tabon Elementary School and met with Mayor Bembie Tambis and other local leaders to strengthen partnerships and move ongoing projects forward.

Two new classrooms at Tabon Elementary are now in use, while support has been secured to continue the construction of the third classroom. The trip also provided an opportunity to discuss the Ruth Sembrano STEM Learning Hub and explore ways to further enhance learning spaces in the municipality.

Visits to Cawayan Elementary School and Dalaguete Central Elementary School also highlighted urgent needs in classrooms and computer labs, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts with educators and LGUs to address infrastructure and resource challenges.

This trip reinforced our commitment to building sustainable and long-term impact for students, ensuring that access to quality education remains at the heart of our mission.
