My husband and I recently spent a night at The Stewart House in Athens, and from the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a slower pace of life.
This historic boutique hotel has been welcoming guests since 1883, blending timeless charm with thoughtful hospitality, beautiful design, locally sourced food, and stunning Hudson River views.
We stayed in Room Six, complete with a gorgeous soaking tub overlooking the river, a cozy and comfortable bed, and all the little touches that made our stay feel extra special.
Dinner at the 1883 Tavern was just as memorable. Fresh oysters, burrata with poached beets, trout with orzo salad, prime rib sliders, craft cocktails, and desserts that were absolutely worth saving room for. 🍸🦪
The perfect ending? A relaxing bath before waking up to complimentary coffee and fresh zucchini bread the next morning.
Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, celebrating a special occasion, or simply need a night to recharge, The Stewart House is the kind of place you’ll be dreaming about long after checkout.

What a FUN evening celebrating some of the Capital Region’s very best at Capital Region Living Magazine’s 2026 Bestie Awards at The Hangar at 743. ✨
There’s something special about being in a room filled with hardworking business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who are absolutely crushing it in their fields. It was a night full of well-deserved recognition, inspiring stories, and plenty of reasons to celebrate.
A huge thank you to Thomas Pest Services for inviting me to be part of the celebration as they took home the title of Best Pest Control Company in the Capital Region! 👏
And a special congratulations to my friend Lori from Wellness on Delaware for bringing home not one, not two, but THREE winning titles! So incredibly deserved.
Congratulations to all of this year’s winners. Your dedication, passion, and commitment to your businesses and communities do not go unnoticed. Here’s to another year of growth, success, and supporting local! 🎉
