The Seattle Composers Alliance presents: SCA Live Sessions — Beyond Ourselves. Live Sessions is an ongoing concert series featuring the works of SCA members, played by rotating lineups of world-class musicians. The concerts are hosted in our favorite Seattle venues and enjoyed by all. The current theme features music inspired by the contemplation and awe that comes from considering, worshiping or engaging with things that are bigger than ourselves, whether that be through the natural, the inter-personal, or the spiritual. The venue has a history of being a community service based church, a safe place to come and receive care beginning as early as 1914. Now, as a community arts venue, its stained glass windows and grand piano still have a sacred air to them.

What is one thing that you could do differently, starting now, to take better care of the planet? To quote a lyric from one of our favorite songs, “War in the Woods,”—“Will you play your part before it’s too late?”

TREESON creator Vicki Campbell G Victoria Campbell met up with the TREESON Original Cast Recording arranger/orchestrator Joseph Purdue and one of our fave performers Ashleigh Cassidy at Soho House in London for a little coffee chat. What an inspiring afternoon talking about theatre, what energizes us, what inspires us, and just all around creating connection and community! If anyone is looking for brilliant collaborators, hire these two! 💚🇬🇧

Our villain father figure, whose name is Don (coincidence? 🤔😬), who is the CEO of Holzenfirma Logging.

John Francis Mooney was a DREAM to work with for the TREESON Earth Day Concert at .
🪵.
Casting for Don was probably the hardest role to cast as we needed an older performer who was a strong baritenor who could sing a high Bb full out 😅 We originally hired another performer, but he had to drop out due to another competing opportunity on the same night. Thankfully, he sent us a list of other options including John, and everything worked out fabulously.
We can’t wait to share some clips showcasing John’s voice!
