Bike Happy Hour, Golden Gardens Golden Hour Edition with , 9/22/22

From the host: We all love a good social bike scene! But, a good social bike scene depends on a healthy ride calendar. Luckily Seattle has a great platform for hosting and finding bike rides and related events, Everyday Rides (maybe you found this ride here?). This ride is to help spread the word about Everyday Rides so more people can discover, attend, and host rides in the city.

1. Show up @ 12th Avenue Square Park
2. Pick a pre-drawn route through a section of the city, with highlighted bike shops. Or, create your own, alleycat style! Most routes are 15-20 miles, round trip
3. Take the (free!) provided marketing materials (flyers, cards) and equipment (tape dispenser) on your ride. Having some way to carry the materials and equipment on your bike is important
4. Ride the route, handing out the cards to bike shops that would like to display them, and taping up the flyers along popular bike lanes and greenways
5. Return to the start for free celebratory pizza!

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the inaugural ride planning meetup last night.

I had tons of fun and I was so incredibly jazzed with the turnout and all the excitement around planning rides for the upcoming year. I hope everyone left with some progress on plans or at least got some new ideas for rides to do. Next time I’m going to have to reserve a bigger venue!

I can’t wait to do this again. I’ll be following up with everyone who made it out and hope that some new connections and rides on will come from it!
