If you like your road trips a little weird… this one’s a must 👀

Welcome to Marsh’s Free Museum — home of the one and only Jake the Alligator Man 🐊

Yeah… half man, half gator, 100% “what did I just walk into?” energy.

This place is packed wall-to-wall with oddities, vintage arcade games, and the kind of random treasures you didn’t know you needed. And just outside? The legendary giant frying pan 🍳

It’s weird. It’s nostalgic. It’s the kind of stop you’ll be talking about way longer than you expected.

📍 Long Beach, WA
🎟️ Free to wander (good luck leaving without buying something)

👀 Have you been here before?

You ever pull over for a “quick stop”…
and somehow end up face-to-face with a half-man, half-alligator named Jake?

Yeah. That happened.

This place is:
• 10% museum
• 90% “what am I even looking at right now”

Old-school weird. No filters. No explanation.
Just shelves of random, chaotic Americana staring back at you.

And somehow… it’s impossible to leave

Everything is still inside.

📍 Bodie, CA

Many of the buildings still have furniture,
tools, and belongings left exactly where they were.

Like people just… walked away.

04/17/2026

Feels like time stopped here.

📍 Bodie, CA

No noise.
No people.
Just a town that never fully disappeared

04/17/2026

This town was just… left behind.

📍 Bodie, CA

Once a booming gold rush town…
now it sits abandoned, frozen in time

04/17/2026

Looks normal… until it’s not.

From the outside, it just looks like logs.
Then you realize… they’ve been stone for millions of years.

Nature does some wild things.

Not every roadside stop is man-made.
Some of the weirdest ones have been here way longer than us.

Millions of years old.

📍 Vantage, WA

These trees were buried by volcanic ash
and slowly turned into stone over millions of years.

Same shape. Same rings. Completely fossilized

This used to be a tree.

📍 Vantage, WA

Looks like wood…
but it’s completely turned to stone.

Not something you expect to see sitting out in the desert.
