“The emerging field of neurocardiology has shown that the heart is deeply intertwined with our nervous & endorcrine systems and is a critical organ in determing the physiological integrity & balance of the entire body... The heart is now considered to be the ”primary brain” as it is the first to form during embryological development in the womb. The heart even has its own memory, neurological cells, & neuro plasticity, and it directly modifies the functioning of the brain, as proven by the work of neurocardiologist Dr. J. Andrew Armour. [The brain & the heart] are in a constant state of communication, striving to maintain the dynamic equilibrium of our entire being on the physical, emotional & psychological levels.

The heart acts independently of the head, with its own capacities for memory, sensation, feeling & cognition. For these reasons, the HEART is starting to be considered the PRIMARY organ of perception & COGNITION.“

The heart even has it’s own unique hormones, that are responsible for a whole spectrum of physiological processes fostering an array of psychological and emotional states, from stress to bliss.

But one of the most important ways the intelligent heart communicates within us, as well as outside the body, is through the exchange of electromagnetic information. The heart has an electromagnetic field FIVE THOUSAND TIMES larger than that of the brain, permeating every cell & extending up to 10 feet beyond the physical body (and that’s only as far as current technology can measure it).“

The heart is responsible for the bringing the entire being “into coherence & inner harmony. WHEN THE HEART BECOMES the FOCAL POINT of CONSCIOUSNESS, the organ systems come into synchronization, or entrainment, with it.

[However] when the the intellect is the primary seat of consciousness, the organ systems are left on their own, communication between them decreases, imbalances within the autonomic nervous system develop & in essence the entire organism is out of tune with itself. In fact everything the heart does must be perfectly coordinated, superbly timed & impeccably synchronized.“

Central to the proper functioning of heart cells is their ability to be synchronized with one another. If you seperate a heart cell from other cardiac cells it will fibrillate spontaneously and ultimately die. But if it comes into close proximity to the rest of the heart, it begins to entrain to its rhythm. As the dislocated cell comes into contact with the heart’s electromagnetic field, it entrains to the stronger oscillation of the heart & becomes harmonized with it… {{what if we imagined ourselves as individual cardiac cells?!t}}

This reflects what occurs when our perception and organ systems stray too far from the heart - they start to have their own chaotic pattern, out of tune with what brings them into harmony & maintains self-organization.

Our minds & bodies “fibrillate.” When our perception is located wtihin the heart, our physiological, emotional & psychological being is attuned to the largest oscillator of the body, so all of the organs, systems, and cells of the body begin to entrain to its harmonic pattern. This make our entire being a highly coordinated, coherent system, operating in balance with the heart leading the way - each part attuned to the whole.“

I DARE you to let your heart lead you. FEEEEEEL your heart. Let it be the conductor of your inner orchestra, of how you move through the world. I DARE you to drop your consciousness down from your mind, & into you heart, again & again & again until it your default way of being.

This is why MUSIC is medicine, is helps our beings (like cells) come into a resonance - a harmonic heart field.

My elder, Paul Chiyokten Wagner, taught me years ago, an ancestral word of the Salish people, “hechuseda” (not sure proper spelling), which is their word for the “intellect of the heart” - which interestingly, he pointed out to me, we don’t have a word like this in English.

Now, in many ancient traditions, there is a recognition that there is an intimate energetic, emotional & physical marriage between the womb-space & the heart-space.

“When the throne room of the womb is united with the heart, the frequency of embodied love is birthed - a powerful love that can create new life upon earth. The union of the heart & womb, perfectly balanced and centered in both love and power, allowed for harmonic resonance with the universal forces. We hold love up as a spiritual idea, but it is also designed to be a fully embodied, biochemical reality. Our womb grid, following its original blueprint, allows us to experience life as sensual ecstatic love, full of trust, joy, expansion, harmony, true communion.

We are told our “primal brain” is wired only for fear & survival, but that is a misconception. It has been rewired to feel these negative states. Our original genetic wiring was designed for love, and we have a chemistry of “heaven” that is waiting to be unlocked and fully lived here on Earth. Human beings were not designed to suffer.”
