Ending Family Homelessness

Right now, here in Seattle, there are many families that will have no safe place to sleep tonight. Parents may not have food to nourish themselves and/or their children. Despite resources tailored to women and children here in the city, families will still go hungry and may have only a tarp to sleep on. Even infants and their caregivers are turned away from shelters. No family should have to sleep outside. Humans in Seattle, and worldwide, deserve a home and a chance to exit the cycle of poverty and homelessness. This page was created as a place to share individual stories, highlight potential solutions, and to continue bringing community awareness to this chronic problem. Viewing each person who is experiencing homelessness as an individual with specific needs and challenges is an important first step.
