🚨 Common mistake that can get expensive fast 🚨
Today we worked on a 2025 GMC Sierra that needed a fuel tank replacement. What happened? The customer accidentally added DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) into the diesel fuel tank.
The good news? 🙌 The customer caught it early!
This is more common than you might think, since both fill ports are usually located close to each other and can be easily confused.
⚠️ Important:
DEF is NOT fuel. When it gets into the diesel system, it can cause serious damage to:
• Fuel injectors
• Fuel pump
• Entire fuel system
💸 If not caught in time, repairs can become extremely expensive.
