Did you know massage classes have a 1 in 3 chance of including a class altar...
I'd forgotten how strange this is until I was telling a friend that my class supply list included a notebook, sheets, and a cut flower.

I do not typically like massages and was hesitant to go, but he really helped me reduce the swelling in my leg and I felt noticeably better after a half hour, which I find amazing! "I had a superb massage with Cassandra. She was excellent at talking me through her approach and the plan for the massage, and making sure she was focused on the tight points in my body that needed the most attention. We developed a strong rapport quickly that allowed us to communicate in a fluid and effective way through my visit.
In terms of the massage itself, it's very clear that Cassandra is a gifted healer, and she followed my body's needs/signals for where to focus next. She does not hold back and was able to apply the kind of pressure I wanted and needed, even if there were moments of discomfort (which, to me, is desirable!). I left feeling much more loose, supple, and relaxed than when I walked in. Do you have more pain and stiffness in cold weather?
Our bodies are like chocolate. 🍫 When warm, chocolate is melty and malleable.
But when cold, it's stiff and hard, and more likely to break than to bend. 🥶
Is that a weird metaphor? ...Anyway, your joints take on more stress in the cold winter months when your connective tissue is less stretchy, and for many people, that means more PAIN.
Myofascial massage is a great way to keep your body bendy and pain free, and it's super relaxing too.
Plan ahead because it's always easier to prevent pain than recover from pain!
