These two gangstarrrs opened the night, Pecsi is shorter than I am now. Still has it. Pacino was in good form, Leo grew up and looks like he ate the boy off the Titanic. Waititi won for JoJo Rabbit, one of my favs of the year and no one can pronounce his first name these last few years. So it’s just the last for letters. He’s very funny in a self deprecating way, especially because he was thrown out of the Guild several times for not paying his dues. He’s a handsome Kiwi, Native , even better. There are a few more shots off the monitor as I didn’t want to be that rude. One of Leo is standing on the side stage waiting.
The big guys had their own table, a lot of laughter from there. It was a great night. The best is that I was with an old pal and her son, Teddy, who is a joy! Loves his mom. Me? I had myself for a weekend in LALA land. Believe it or not I was talking to you THOMAS CLAY JR. Ronny wasn’t there and,,,,,come on Ron, we know you weren’t filming. It’s a short commute from NY. Missed Tim Busfield, as he and Mel were at their Lake House plus he’s doing great things for young non equity theatres and their people 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 everything was great until I boarded my flight the next morning on an unusually foggy morning. Then the flight attendant discretely told me the horrible news that Kobe’s helicopter had just went down. Then everything changed in a heartbeat. As we taxied and took air, I looked out into the fog and then shut my eyes until I reached Seattle..a tragic, horrible day. 💔
