Friend with a 94 Subaru Legacy had their sun roof stuck open. Traced it down to one limit switch having high resistance on the contacts internally, causing intermittent failure and not letting the control module close it. Sourced new replacement switches as the OEM part is no longer sold and junkyards/used parts are old and fail in the same way. Replaced both to be safe. Works perfect now.
