Finished this macaque a week ago. Made out of construction cedar. I carved the head separately out of English walnut. Now my chimp has a company.

Always am fascinated with monkeys. This is a pencil holder howler monkey I carved from a 4x4 construction cedar from Home Depot. I attached it to a willow driftwood found on the local river. I finished it with Jacobean wood stain.
