Lately I’ve noticed something in conversations with clients that feels important to name.
Several people almost canceled their appointments because they felt like they hadn’t done “well enough.” They hadn’t followed through perfectly or made the progress they hoped for. Some quietly wondered if it was even worth showing up to the conversation.
This pattern says something about the moment many people are living in right now.
In this article, I reflect on what may be underneath that feeling — the exhaustion, uncertainty, and quiet shame that can make people feel like they are failing before the conversation even begins.
I also share why something as simple as being heard without judgment can change everything.
If you work with people — as a coach, clinician, teacher, or caregiver — this may resonate with what you’re seeing too.
I’d love for you to read the full article and share what you’re noticing in your own work.
