The Average Diet Creates a Stress Disaster (Na/K Ratio)

The average American consumes ~3,400–4,000 mg of sodium per day and only ~2,000–2,600 mg of potassium.

The recommended potassium intake? 4,700 mg/day.

That means most people are running a severe sodium-potassium imbalance, directly impacting adrenal output, blood pressure regulation, and stress tolerance. The ideal Na/K ratio is ~2.4:1 — but stress, inflammation, sweating, low-salt diets, and processed foods destroy it.

Low potassium and dysregulated sodium leads to fatigue, dizziness, anxiety, poor exercise tolerance, brain fog, and emotional fragility. People call this “burnout,” but it’s a mineral shortage masquerading as a mental problem.

Blindly adding salt or potassium without testing can worsen symptoms depending on adrenal status. Testing shows whether stress has depleted your reserves — or if your body can’t regulate what you’re already consuming.

Hypercalcemia from D3 (cholecalciferol) happens at lower dosages than most people think.

Vitamin D supplements tell your guts to absorb more calcium from your food. This is why most people say you 'have to take K2 with it' to help the calcium go to the right places (bones and teeth) and not other places that can cause harm.

The fact that you 'should' take K2 with vitamin D is just proof of the harm it can do on its own by raising calcium levels.
