Wild Tide guests, meet your menu!

Chef Kären Jurgensen has put together an unforgettable feast celebrating the best of our local waters and forests.

Imagine:
-Lummi Island ikura
-Taylor Shellfish Manila clams and deep-fried oysters
-Salmon ala Plancha with foraged mushroom butter
-Tempura-fried mussels in a cucumber cup with sesame vinaigrette and nori

Trust us, it will be wildly worth the wait.

Chef Kären is the Executive Chef Instructor at Seattle Culinary Academy and the force behind One World Dining Room. She’s a sustainability trailblazer, a Lifetime Learner Award recipient, and helped make SCA the first school in the nation to fully integrate sustainable food systems and social justice into its program.

Oh—and Seattle Culinary Academy is a proud Slow Food Snail of Approval awardee!

We can’t wait to share this bounty with you all on Feb. 18th!

Today is Terra Madre Day 🐌 a global celebration of good, clean and fair food. Today we celebrate our global movement here at Slow Food and everyone working to protect biodiversity, uplift food traditions, and support local producers.

As part of Give What You Can Week (Dec 8–12), you can join Slow Food for any amount. Your membership directly supports community events, food education, Snail of Approval, and the work we do to uplift our regional food culture.

From our Native Grown and Gathered Dinner to our Ikura Workshop and Annual Meeting & Potluck, this year was filled with learning, connection, and shared meals. And 2026 has even more in store — including our Wild Tide Dinner coming early 2026.

If you’ve been wanting to join or reconnect, today is the perfect day.

We’d love to have you join us!
