I used black Moon Palace Sumi ink, a Nikko G nib, Zig Wink of Stella brush pen (the sparkles!) and a Paper Source mint envelope.

Day 22: Library
The board game clue was the first thing I thought of when I read the prompt ‘Library’ during the 2024 season, Unfortunately, I didn’t put much of an effort into that envelope and it’s extremely…underwhelming. (Swipe to see the disaster😬)

This year I decided to redeem myself, and so armed with my trusty black Glaze pen(***NOT a good pen to use with a ruler. The thick ink smudges all over the place unless you are super super careful) and my envelope template, I got to work.

The game Clue! has been around a long time, but the version that I had growing up was from 1986 so I used that for inspiration. Now I just need to find out who the killer was!

Folk Art! Day 20 of I love Folk Art because it is accessible. It often features repeating pattern, non-lifelike representations of plants and animals, regional color pallets and tends to decorate useful objects- like this .

Again, my excellent gave me the nice bright bold colors I was looking for and gave my flowers and ribbons a solid outline, easy to fill in with watercolor markers later.

I used the Paper Source A6 envelope template to make my envelope today.
Pro tip: when you wish you could use your lightboard to trace your design on an envelope but it doesn’t work because the envelope is too thick or you don’t want to take it apart and have to re-glue it, just make your own envelope with a paper better suited to your project, and decorate it before you glue it.
