This guy - Peter Whited, instead of renting some equipment, he rigs up our forklift with a beam and clears out our second half of the courtyard in nothing flat! Our pavers are on their way, hopefully Tuesday and we will eventually get er' done!

Kelp Totem IV: Orca
There’s something ancient in this one… like it surfaced rather than was made.
Layers of steel and kiln-carved, pâte de verre glass come together in a form that feels both fluid and grounded—echoing kelp forests, tidal movement, and the quiet presence of the orca beneath the surface. Subtle reds flicker through the glass like life moving just below sight.
Created by well-known local glass artist Lin McJunkin, this piece carries a beautiful balance of strength and delicacy—industrial and organic, all at once.

On our way to Seattle this weekend, we made a stop that turned into something much more than we expected…
We pulled into Conway Salvage Arts in Conway, WA, chasing a simple mission—find some old barn wood for an outdoor shelving project for Trinky Būsiu.
Mission accomplished… and then some.
With the help of owner Tony Stinson—salvage artist, carpenter, and all-around quiet force—we found exactly what we were looking for. But what we really found was a place.
Tony invites junk to come to him. Not as waste—but as raw material. Things diverted from the landfill, sifted through, studied, passed along… or transformed.
And the transformation? It’s not loud. It’s not trying too hard. It’s precise. Thoughtful. Sometimes unfinished. Sometimes massive. Sometimes so subtle you almost miss it.
Tony calls Conway “on the way” to somewhere else…
but if you stop, it becomes the destination.
If you’re lucky enough to be invited inside (call ahead—seriously), you’ll step into a space that’s unexpectedly calm and intentional. Time flies when you are visiting - Tony is quite the story teller!
And that’s the thing—this isn’t just a place to find materials like rusted steel, barn wood, or folk art…
It’s a place to experience how someone sees the world.
If you’re looking for something real—materials, inspiration, or just a reminder of what’s possible—give Tony a call and make the stop.
Trust us… it’s worth it.
