Seventeen hours after posting a stereoview thought for 18 years to be an image taken in/near Silver Spring, the location has been identified.
The stereoview depicts a circa 1870s view of a long-gone resort named “Silver Spring” that was located in East Providence, RI. A portion of the property is today the Silver Spring Golf Course with the rest of the land belonging to a petroleum tank operation.
The depicted set of rail tracks are today the East Bay Bike Path.
