βπ½ I Am Black History!! β€οΈπ€π
On June 18, 2025, I had the enormous honor to sing the Black National Anthem, βLift Every Voice And Sing,β at the Negro League Night for the Washington !
ππ½ HUGE thanks to my bro for inviting me to shine in this opportunity. β€οΈβπ₯π« HUGE thanks to my sister for always standing with me; always in my corner. β€οΈβπ₯π«
HUGE thanks to my coach Ms. Chrissellene for guiding and supporting my vocal health journey. β€οΈβπ₯π«
πΆβLift Every Voice and Singβ was written and arranged by brothers James Weldon Johnson and John Rosalind Johnson. This song has been significant in my life because of my church involvement, and due to all of the phenomenal choirs Iβve been blessed to be part of. The melody has always haunted me and simultaneously uplifted me, reminding me of the arduous journey of my ancestors. Without their strength and fortitude, I wouldnβt be here to carry the torch. π―οΈ
May this tribute make them proud.
