Big news for the King fishery that was announced earlier this month! 🔥
We shared the regs, but wanted to clarify after some of the questions we’ve been getting.
ADF&G dropped the 2026 regs and it’s good news
Non-residents:
🎣 1 king per day through June 30
🎣 3 per year (up from 1 in 2025)
🎣 Starting July 1: 1 per year
Residents:
🎣 2 per day
🎣 No annual limit
More opportunity, more time on the water, and more chances to hook into something special.

Some great news for May and June!

Captain Mike Svenson (Svenny) started his commercial fishing career at just 12 years old right here in Sitka. After graduating from Sitka High School, he went on to earn his degree from Oregon State, spending every summer back on the water to pay his way through college.
After college Svenny moved back home to commercial fish for 7 years and transitions to fishing with us soon after.
Svenny has seamlessly transitioned into the charter world, bringing with him a lifetime of commercial fishing and hunting experience. His deep local knowledge and understanding of the ocean make him a natural at the helm and a serious asset to our team.
We’re fired up to have Svenny back for his third season with us. He’s a true team guy and is always ready to put clients on quality fish and create an unforgettable experience.

Captain Chatham, born and raised in Sitka, is exactly what you’d expect from a true Alaskan personality. His boat is big, comfortable, and built for serious fishing… and if you get on his good side, he’s a riot of a good time.
Chatham is a family man! His two girls keep him busy in the winter but he always makes time to take them hunting and enjoy the outdoors.
This marks Chatham’s second year full time with us. He’s been around fishing his whole life, and it shows. He brings a ton of energy, excitement, and the kind of passion you can feel the second you step on his boat.
We’re lucky to have four out of five of our captains born and raised in Sitka—but not just “local”… they all went to high school here. That kind of background brings a whole different level of knowledge to the fishing game.
We’re grateful to have such an awesome team and pumped to have Chatham back with us for another season and many more seasons to come!
Only a few months till the chaos begins! We love to Mooch because everyone can hook up at the same time.
I could post a video of a majestic brown bear walking down the beach while we view it from the boat but it got personal, and I'm not ready for that 🤦♂️ this freezer was full btw. Luckily with a pad lock on it....
