PDS wants to congratulate and celebrate our alumni on their winning campaigns on November 2.
Former Executive Board Member Katjana Ballantyne will be sworn in as the first new Mayor of Somerville in 18 years in January. The future Mayor Ballantyne swept the city winning the majority of votes in each of the seven wards of Somerville.
Former Chair of PDS Judy Pineda Neufeld will be taking her seat as the new Ward 7 City Councilor becoming the first Latina elected to the City Council in history along with the other woman tied for first Latina Beatriz Gomez Mouakad in Ward 5.
