Anybody going to Harrington?

We had a good turnout at our May meeting. Thanks to Lenny Bush for the shop.

There was a custom Caddy at the Speed and Custom Show. I thought the 1959 fins were big but not THAT big. Some people I asked weren't so sure. Here's a stock Caddy for comparison. The pink Caddy WAS well done. Stainless looked correct and all. But custom for sure.

The Spokane Speed and Custom show has arrived. The Dukes have placed 44 (fourtyfour !!!!) cars in the show. Brian Anderson has graciously given us the big back room in the main building for our display. Come on out this weekend. Noon-7 Friday, 10-7 Saturday and 10-5 Sunday. Save $2 with discount tickets at northside ACE hardware stores.

THIS IS THE DUKES DRAGSTER AT DEER PARK IN THE LATE 1950S. THE REAR ENGINE IS EARL WHAMS OUT OF HIS RACE BOAT. THE FRONT ENGINE BELONGS TO A DUKES MEMBER RITE OUT OF HIS NEW CORVETT. THE LONG HEADERS ARE WHAMS OF HIS RACE BOAT THEY ARE LONG TO KEEP THE WATER OUT OF THE ENGINE WHEN STARTING OUT AND SLOING DOWN. DRAG ON ALL AS LONG AS YOU CAN !!!!!!!!
